My name is Tony, widely known as Jinxy, im 44 years old & im a freight train driver working from East London, living in lovely Hertfordshire.
My love of the Mk1 started quite late compared to most people, i remember seeing them around in the mid 80's & liked them, but thats it... i never went crazy on them.
That all changed about 3 years ago when for no apparent reason i dreamt that i was driving & owned a red MK1 ??, normally you forget your dreams but this was with me vividly all day long, so i decided to look them up on the internet thinking that they would be well out of my price range as i had no idea how much money they were going for. To my suprise they were in my price bracket !!! & for the next week or so i drove my Girlfriend absolutely mad, clicking away on the keyboard, reading mags, litterally talking, eating & sleeping everything MK1's until i spotted an ad in Loot for a Red 87 MK1 coupe in Surrey, i duely bought the car & cut my teeth on it, taking things off, cleaning stuff, reading lots of stuff, talking to knowledgable people who never batted an eyelid when i would ring several times a day with a question ( Cheers Woodsy ! ). I loved that car until one day i had a short in the wiring loom & my car was written off as it has affected the whole loom, the car was broken for parts & those parts were used on my next purchase, a Mica blue 89 T-bar which i still have & enjoy to this day, Ok ive spent a small fortune on the car since ownership, but for me its the perfect car !!.
I first met Kev ( Crazylegs ) when he sold me a dodgy engine !! for my original red MK1, its ok Kev ive forgiven you mate!!, our mutual love for the MK1 has secured a great friendship & has led us to develop the items you see on the products page, we virtually never work on our own cars alone, its always a team effort with the help of another MK1 friend & owner RUSSD1 ( Nigel), we apply this to everything we do, all the items we sell, running around, helping other MK1 owners is a team effort..... just how it should be.
